هدف البحث الحالي التعرف على فعالية وحدة تاريخية مقترحة قائمة على أبعاد الاستدامة لتنمية الوعي بالقضايا المعاصرة لطلاب المرحلة الثانوية بالكويت، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من(60) طالباً، من طلاب الصف العاشر الثانوي بالكويت، مقسمة إلى مجموعتين: إحداهما تجريبية وعددها(30) طالباً، والأخرى ضابطة وعددها (30) طالباً، وتم اعداد اختبار الوعي بالقضايا المعاصرة، ووحدة مقترحة في ضوء أبعاد الاستدامة، وكتاب الطالب، للتحقق من فاعلية الوحدة المقترحة، وتوصلت النتائج إلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطي درجات المجموعة التجريبية والمجموعة الضابطة في التطبيق البعدي لاختبار الوعي بالقضايا المعاصرة لصالح المجموعة التجريبية، كما وجدت فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطي درجات المجموعة التجريبية في التطبيقين القبلي والبعدي لاختبار الوعي بالقضايا المعاصرة لصالح التطبيق البعدي.

Abstract :
The current research aims to identify the effectiveness of a proposed historical unit based on the dimensions of sustainability to develop awareness of contemporary issues for secondary school students in Kuwait. The study sample consisted of (60) students from the tenth grade secondary school students in Kuwait, divided into two groups: one experimental group with (30) students, and the other control group with (30) students. A test of awareness of contemporary issues was prepared, a proposed unit in light of the dimensions of sustainability, and a student book to verify the effectiveness of the proposed unit.. The results showed that there were statistically significant differences between the average scores of the experimental group and the control group in the post-application of the test of awareness of contemporary issues in favor of the experimental group. There were also statistically significant differences between the average scores of the experimental group in the pre- and post-application of the test of awareness of contemporary issues in favor of the post-application.
