اتجاهات طلاب السنة التحضيرية نحو اللغة الإنجليزية وعلاقته بالتحصيل الدراسي

"اتجاهات طلاب السنة التحضيرية نحو اللغة الإنجليزية وعلاقته بالتحصيل الدراسي" هدفت الدراسة إلى معرفة اتجاهات طلاب السنة التحضيرية نحو اللغة الإنجليزية وعلاقته بالتحصيل الدراسي.
ولتحقيق هدف الدراسة فقد صمم الباحث استبانة تکونت من 42 عبارة لقياس اتجاهات الطلاب نحو اللغة الإنجليزية, کما تم الرجوع لاختبارات نهاية الفصل الدراسي الأول للعام الدراسي 1438-1439هـ وذلک لمعرفة العلاقة بين اتجاهات الطلاب والتحصيل الدراسي. وقد بلغت عينة الدراسة (55) طالبًا وهم يمثلون جميع طلاب السنة التحضيرية بفرع جامعة أم القرى بالليث.
وبعد تحليل نتائج الدراسة توصلت إلى:       
-    المتوسط الحسابي العام لمقياس الاتجاه بلغ (2.92)، وهى تؤکد على أنه يوجد اتجاه بدرجة متوسطة لدى طلاب السنة التحضيرية نحو اللغة الإنجليزية.
-    مستوى التحصيل الدراسي في مادة اللغة الإنجليزية کان أقل من المتوسط لدى طلاب السنة التحضيرية.
-    معامل الارتباط بلغ (0.627)، وهى قيمة تدل على وجود علاقة ارتباطية موجبة دالة إحصائيا عند مستوى الدلالة (0.01) بين اتجاهات الطلاب والتحصيل الدراسي في مادة اللغة الإنجليزية لدى طلاب السنة التحضيرية.وفي ضوء النتائج أوصى الباحث بعدد من التوصيات والمقترحات.
Abstract:
Attitudes of preparatory year (PY) Students towards English language and its relationship to academic achievement.
The study aimed at knowing the attitudes of preparatory year (PY) Students towards English language and its relationship to academic achievement at Al-Leeth branch of Umm Qura University, Saudi Arabia.
To achieve the objective of the study, the researcher designed a questionnaire to measure the students attitudes towards English language. The study conducted at the end of the first semester of the academic year 1438-1439 in order to find out the relationship between students' attitudes and academic achievement. The sample of the study was(55) students and they represent all the students of the preparatory year in the branch of Umm al-Qura University in Al-Leeth.
The findings of the study were the following:
-      The general arithmetic average of the attitude reached (2.92). It confirms that there is a positive attitude among the preparatory year students toward English.
-      The level of achievement in the English language was less than the average among the students in the preparatory year.
-      Correlation coefficient was (0.627), which indicates a positive correlation relationship statistically significant at the level of (0.01) between the attitudes and the achievement of the preparatory year students. In the light of the results, the researcher recommended a number of recommendations and suggestions.
