Abstract The research aimed at developing Reading Comprehension Skills of fifth grade Primary Stage Pupils by using Proposed Activities Based on Oriented Reading. The researcher handled the following procedures: 1- The researcher handled the following procedures: 2- Design a list of reading comprehension skills that was intended to be developed of fifth grade primary pupils. 3- A test of reading comprehension skills of fifth grade primary pupils. 4- Activities book of pupil based on Oriented Reading. 5- Teacher guide to teach Activities Based on Oriented Reading to develop Reading Comprehension Skills of fifth grade Primary Stage Pupils. 6- Selecting sample of fifth grade Primary Stage Pupils and divide it to experimental and control groups. 7- Applying pre test of reading comprehension skills on both experimental and control groups, teach Activities Based on Oriented Reading to experimental group, teach to control group by traditional method and Applying post test of reading comprehension skills on both experimental and control groups. Finding of the research: The research reaches the following findings: There was a significant statistically difference at 0.05 between means scores of both experimental and control groups at post test of reading comprehension skills in favor of experimental group. There was a significant statistically difference at 0.05 between means scores of both pre and post test of reading comprehension skills for experimental group in favor of post test. Activities Based on Oriented Reading achieved an acceptable degree of effectiveness in developing reading comprehension skills of fifth grade primary stage pupils. Recommendation of the research: Caring about developing reading comprehension skills of primary pupils in general and for fifth grade primary pupils specially. Train Arabic language teacher for using modern teaching strategy that participate in developing reading comprehension skills for pupils
